A majority of heat pump installations are sited alongside the property, but there are many reasons home owners or heat pump installers may opt for a remote heat pump installation, this is where the heat pump is located a short distance from the property.

One of the main reasons for opting for a remote heat pump is aesthetics, but other factors such as airflow and noise can also play a factor. For a remote heat pump to be successful, specialist pre-insulated pipework is require to transfer heat from the heat pump to the building.

Ideal solution

The UK government is aiming to achieve 450,00 heat pump installations per year by 2030, accelerating the decarbonisation of residential heat.

To support the roll out homeowners can take advantage of the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) which offers homeowners grants.
